In early 2019 I was lucky enough to see an amazing exhibition by the designer duo Sagmeister & Walsh in the MAK Gallery Vienna called ‘Beauty' celebrating beauty as a form of an expression. For a memorabilia I bought a set of 3 decorative wrapping papers designed for the exhibition by the artists themselves. I knew I would use them one day for that special project.
‘Beauty collection' are 3 sets of 3 sketchbooks, celebrating 3 different bookbinding techniques, 3 individual decorative wrapping papers and 3 different book sizes. A traditional A4 size using hardcover binding with the combination of book-cloth on the spine. A semi B6 size using open spine coptic stitch binding, And finally the smallest one using saddle stitch binding in a B5 size. All text blocks consist of 100 gsm Arcoprint Milk Fedrigoni Blank Papers and that special exhibition decorative paper on the covers, which makes the sketchbooks very precious and unique.

Each sketchbook in this collection are one of a kind hand-made products with special care and attention taken in every detail which make these sketchbooks very special to me and hopefully to anyone who buys it either as a present or for personal use.
